Articles Banks are sites on the internet where you deposit your articles. There are several article banks to choose from; however, you are not limited to submitting to only one bank.
There are advantages and disadvantages to using articles banks. Listed below are a few of the most common issues.
Advantages of Article Banks
1. Deposits are Free
Most article banks will allow you to deposit for free. There are sites where you may be charged per article that is submitted. However, if you are on a tight budget, take the time to do some research on articles banks that do not charge for deposits.
2. Others can Publish Your Article
At some point in time, someone will go to these banks looking for articles to put in their newsletters, websites or magazines.
People can be very creative on how they can use your articles to benefit them. Either in their own cd's, in their own ebooks or use as a topic in a class that they wanted to teach.
This will benefit you as well. At the bottom of your article, you will also provide your copywrite information and link to your site, also known as your Resource Box.
In order for an article to be withdrawn, your Resource Box must also be published along with your article.
3. Get Exposure with Your Resource Box
Along with your article, include your Resource Box. Again, your Resource Box should have an active link back to your website or a specific product you are selling. By providing
your Resource Box information, you will be credited for that article's content and create another backlink to your website.
Having a quality of relevant backlinks to your site will improve your PageRanking.
If the person using your article sends you a link to the location that your article is being used, go and double check if the resource box has the active link to your site. If not, just send them a reminder note that the link needs to be active.
Disadvantages of Article Banks
1. Difficulty Amending Articles
It may be difficult to amend articles once deposited into the article bank. Therefore, you may be better off just re-writing the article, make the changes and then republish it.
2. Time Consuming
There are so many article banks. Going to each article bank, managing and re-submitting your articles can take a lot of time.
You want to be automated and find an article distribution company that will take care of submitting your articles to all the different article banks and directories. There is usually a charge for this service; however, many will offer a FREE trial.
By utilizing an article distribution company, you can get your article submitted in a matter of minutes and the company will take care of the rest, leaving you more time to start writing your next article.
The most important reason why we write articles and post them on the internet is to attract prospects and build relationships. Submitting articles to Article Banks will give you more exposure, relevant backlinks and will help build strong relationships with your prospects.
